If you live in Australia, you have likely met these incredibly fast and curious tiny friends.

Blue Banded Bees are solitary bees and don’t live in hives. The females have a quieter life, living in burrows in the ground or holes in the mortar of brick walls, while the mischievous boys sleep in groups, holding onto twigs or grasses with their strong mandibles. At dusk, you may find the boys fighting for a good spot to sleep, and at sunrise, you’ll see them having a good stretch before they fly off to start their busy day.

With stripes ranging in colour from blues and greens to oranges and yellows, and even white, depending on the species, these skilled buzz pollinators play a critical part in our ecosystems.

  • Sterling silver requires proper cleaning, care, and storage to last a lifetime and maintain its lustre.

    Cleaning
    Use warm water with a mild dish soap to clean the jewellery - rub gently, rinse well, and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using paper towels or tissues. A Sterling Silver polishing cloth can also be used to bring back lustre, but please avoid intentionally oxidised areas and stones.

    Care
    Please be mindful of small and textured details which may catch on clothing fibres or hair if care is not taken. Always avoid direct contact with chemicals and perfumes, skin lotions, hairsprays, and cosmetics.

    Storage
    You may store your jewellery in a box, pouch, or airtight bag in a dry place. It’s best to keep pieces separate to avoid scratches and tangles.

    Production & Processing
    We make most pieces to order, which can take up to 7 days, and longer for rings. However, we do strive to have your piece made and in the post within a couple of business days.
